Repair Technology

All structures age and can be damaged, whatever material they are made of. Composites are often the strongest, lightest and most flexible way to repair and reinforce different types of structure. We use various techniques to meet different needs.

Composites can be damaged by factors including overloading, erosion and heat/fire. The damaged part can often be restored to a good-as-new condition, at a considerably lower cost than buying a new part. We repair parts for aeroplanes, helicopters, vehicles and other equipment.
Repairing metal components with composite materials can have significant technical and cost benefits. This method, know as crack-patching, is suitable for repairing and preventing damage caused by fatigue, corrosion and overloading. The method works on most metals, and the repairs can often be done in situ without dismantling the part.
